1. About MyPawPedia

MyPawPedia ("we", "us", "our", "the platform") operates the website at mypawpedia.com. We provide a free pet care guide generation service powered by artificial intelligence, a pet matching quiz, an AI pet advice feature, and community tools for pet owners.

MyPawPedia is intended for informational and educational purposes only. It is not a veterinary service and does not provide professional veterinary, medical, or legal advice.

2. Eligibility

By using MyPawPedia you confirm that:

• You are at least 13 years of age. Users under 13 are not permitted to use this platform.
• Users aged 13-17 have obtained the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
• You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction.
• You will use the platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

3. The Service — What MyPawPedia Provides

MyPawPedia provides the following features, all free of charge:

• AI-Generated Pet Care Guides: Personalised care guides for specific pet breeds generated using artificial intelligence. Guides cover topics including feeding, housing, healthcare, training, grooming and emergency care.
• Pet Finder Quiz: A lifestyle-based questionnaire that recommends suitable pet breeds based on your answers.
• Ask MyPawPedia: An AI-powered pet advice assistant that answers general questions about pet care.
• My Pets Library: A personal space to save your pets' profiles and regenerate their guides at any time.
• PawMeet, PawServices, PawStart and Pet Shop: Community and discovery features for pet owners.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any feature of the platform at any time without notice. We will always aim to give reasonable advance notice of significant changes.

4. AI-Generated Content — Important Disclaimer

By using our guide generation and AI advice features, you acknowledge and agree that:

• AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies or information that is incomplete or out of date.
• You will not rely solely on MyPawPedia guides or AI advice for any decision that could affect your pet's health, safety or wellbeing.
• For any health concern, illness, injury or emergency involving your pet, you will consult a qualified, registered veterinarian.
• MyPawPedia is not liable for any harm — to your pet or to any person — resulting from following information provided on this platform.
• Different breeds, individual animals and local conditions vary significantly. A guide provides general best-practice information and is not a substitute for professional, individualised veterinary care.

5. Your Account and Registration

MyPawPedia uses your email address as your account identifier. By registering you agree to:

• Provide a genuine, valid email address that belongs to you.
• Keep your email address current and accurate.
• Not register multiple accounts or share access with others in a way that misrepresents who is using the platform.
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.

You may request deletion of your account at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will process your request within 30 days and remove your email address and associated data from our systems.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use MyPawPedia only for its intended purpose. You must not:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempt to access, scrape, copy or extract content from the platform using automated tools, bots or scripts without our written permission.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile or extract the source code of any part of the platform.
• Submit false, misleading or fraudulent information when using any feature of the platform.
• Use the AI features to generate harmful, abusive, discriminatory, or illegal content.
• Attempt to overload, disrupt or interfere with the platform's servers or infrastructure.
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
• Use the platform in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the service for other users.

Violation of these conditions may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of your access to MyPawPedia without notice.

7. Intellectual Property

Our content: All content on MyPawPedia — including the platform design, layout, graphics, breed database, feature structure, and branding — is the intellectual property of MyPawPedia and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify or create derivative works from our content without our written permission.

Your generated guides: The pet care guide generated for your personal use is yours to keep, print, download and share for personal non-commercial purposes. You may not sell, licence or publish MyPawPedia-generated guides as your own original work or as a commercial product.

AI-generated content ownership: You acknowledge that AI-generated content may not be eligible for copyright protection in all jurisdictions. MyPawPedia makes no claim to copyright over the specific textual content of individual generated guides, but retains all rights to the platform, system, database and methodology that produces them.

Breed images: All breed portrait images displayed on MyPawPedia are either created by or licensed to MyPawPedia. You may not download, copy or use these images for any purpose without written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MyPawPedia and its operators shall not be liable for:

• Any loss or damage to your pet resulting from following advice, guides or information provided on the platform.
• Any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform.
• Any loss of data, loss of profit, or business interruption arising from use of the platform.
• Inaccuracies or errors in AI-generated content.
• Temporary unavailability of the platform due to maintenance, technical issues, or factors outside our control (including third-party service outages).
• Any actions taken or not taken based on the platform's content, recommendations or AI outputs.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law — for example, in cases of death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud — our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

MyPawPedia may contain links to third-party websites, services or content. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices or availability of any third-party sites. Links do not constitute endorsement of those sites or their content.

Our AI features are powered by Anthropic's Claude API. Our email service is provided by Brevo. Our database is hosted on Google Firebase. Our image hosting is provided by Cloudinary. These are independent services with their own terms and privacy policies. By using MyPawPedia you accept that your data may be processed by these providers as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Platform Availability

We aim to keep MyPawPedia available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the platform. We may take the platform offline for maintenance, updates, or for reasons outside our control, including third-party infrastructure issues.

We will not be liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by the platform being temporarily unavailable.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to MyPawPedia at any time, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms of Use or are using the platform in a way that could harm other users, our service, or any third party.

You may stop using MyPawPedia at any time. If you wish to have your account and data deleted, contact [email protected].

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time as the platform evolves and as legal requirements change. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made. Where changes are significant, we will notify registered users by email.

Continued use of MyPawPedia after any update to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not accept the revised Terms, you should stop using the platform.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy and the European Union, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR — Regulation 2016/679) and applicable Italian consumer law. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Italian courts, unless you are a consumer in another EU member state in which case you may bring a claim in the courts of your country of residence.

As an EU-based operator, we are also required to inform you of the European Online Dispute Resolution platform, which provides an alternative way to resolve disputes without going to court: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Use, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MyPawPedia regarding your use of the platform. They supersede all prior agreements, representations and understandings.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
